Lisbon Airport: Terminal 1 or Terminal 2?
Updated · by GetVoolo, Lisbon
Short answer: all flights arrive at Terminal 1. For departures, most airlines use T1, but Terminal 2 is a separate, departures-only terminal for low-cost airlines: Ryanair, Wizz Air, Transavia, Vueling, Volotea, Eurowings, Norwegian (easyJet departs from T1). T2 isn't on the metro and you can't walk there: take the free shuttle from T1 departures (about every 12 minutes, a 3-minute ride, 03:30–00:30), or have your taxi or driver drop you at T2 directly.
Which terminal is my flight?
- Terminal 2 (departures only): Ryanair, Wizz Air, Transavia, Vueling, Volotea, Eurowings, Norwegian, per the official list of July 2026.
- Terminal 1: every other airline, including TAP and easyJet.
- Arrivals: always at Terminal 1, whatever the airline.
- Allocations change from time to time. Check the terminal on your boarding pass or in the airline’s app the day before.

Timing and how much extra to allow
- The shuttle runs about every 12 minutes and the ride takes about 3. If you are going via T1, allow at least 20 extra minutes.
- Terminal 2 is closed between 00:30 and 03:30, and the shuttle only restarts at 03:30. Keep that in mind for a very early flight.
- The terminals are about 1 km apart and the route between them isn’t made for pedestrians.
- T2 is basic: few places to eat or shop. Eat before you go if you can.
What about arrivals?
Even if you fly out of Terminal 2, you land back at Terminal 1 when you return to Lisbon. That is where the taxis wait, where the metro is, and where a pre-booked driver meets you. See every way out of the airport.
