Airport meeting guidelines
Arriving at Lisbon Airport (LIS)? Here's how pickup works for your transfer to Porto.
- Landing at Lisbon Airport? Your driver waits in the arrivals hall with a name sign and tracks your flight.
- Starting from a hotel or flat in Lisbon? Change the pickup above and your driver comes to the door.
- At the airport, 60 minutes of free waiting from landing, so a delayed flight is not a problem.
- Give your exact address in Porto when you book, so the driver can plan the drive.
- Travelling as a family or group? Choose the Van class — the price is per car, not per person.
How pricing works
We show a non-binding estimated range based on distance and typical demand, so you know what to expect. Drivers then submit their own bids — often you'll pay less than the top of the range.
About the journey
The drive is about 305 km on the A1 motorway, roughly three hours without stops. The A1 is a toll road: €25.05 for a car between Lisbon and Porto in 2026. Fares are worked out from distance and do not include tolls; under our terms tolls can be added on top, so agree it with your driver once they are assigned.
Want a break on the way? Message your driver once they are assigned. A short rest stop is normal on a three-hour drive; sightseeing stops are not part of a transfer.
Going the other way? Porto to Lisbon works the same: put your Porto address as the pickup and Lisbon as the drop-off. Both directions can be booked at a fixed price or by bid.
How else can you get to Porto?
Public transport and taxis both work — here's an honest comparison.
Train (metro to Oriente + Alfa Pendular to Porto Campanhã)
≈€10–36
≈2 h 50 min on the train, plus the metro; cheapest booked ahead
Coach (Rede Expressos / FlixBus, some from the airport)
from ≈€4
≈3 h 15 min or more; typically ≈€15
The train is cheaper for one or two people and fast between stations, but you still need the metro to Oriente and a taxi from Campanhã, with your luggage. A driver goes door to door in about three hours, and the price is per car, so it splits across a family or group.
